Darwin Reserve (Vologda region, Russia) is quite small but surprisingly rich in flora and fauna. It is located on the territory of two regions at once - the Vologda and the Yaroslavl.
Local forests are rich in berries and mushrooms, the water area has rare fish species, but the reserve has gained fame among the scientific world thanks to its bird populations. Every self-respecting ornithologist knows that here is the highest density of White-tailed Sea Eagles in the world. The unique "fish eagle" or predatory osprey echoes its popularity.
