Train tours are a fascinating and quite comfortable way to see the world. A great help for tourists was the active development of rail service in Russia, thanks to which it is possible to get by rail to any corner of not only our country, but practically the entire continent.

By train from Moscow to Europe

For example, for those who want to arrange a fabulous French vacation, the train "Moscow-Nice" (No. 17/18) is available.  It departs on Thursdays from Belorussky railway station and in 48 hours takes its passengers to the French Riviera. The route of this train includes eight countries at once, from the window of your compartment you can enjoy views of Minsk, Warsaw, Vienna, Verona, Milan and Genoa.

The price of a ten-day train tour to Nice includes breakfast, hotel accommodation, and guide services.

By train "Moscow - Paris" (No. 23/24), which also leaves from Belorussky railway station, you can get not only to Paris (the train arrives at the East Station of the capital), but also to Berlin. The train goes through Minsk, Warsaw, Berlin, Hanover, Strasbourg, etc.

Electronic check-in is available for the Moscow-Nice and Moscow-Paris trains; a ticket printout is sufficient for boarding.

Find and book cheap flights

By train "Tissa" (No. 15/16) you can reach Budapest directly, and the train "Moscow - Prague" (No. 21/22) takes you to the Czech capital in 33 hours. The “Leo Tolstoy” train, which departs from the Leningradsky railway station every day,  takes passengers from Moscow to Helsinki, and you can get even to Beijing by train “Vostok”, although this journey will take 146 hours.

As a rule, the cost of package tours by train includes meals, hotel accommodation, insurance and guide services, but railway tickets and a visa are usually paid separately, so consider this point when choosing a trip.

Ideas for rail travel in Russia

No less interesting is to travel on the territory of our country. Railway voyage along the legendary Trans-Siberian Railway, for example, will allow you to see the whole Russia   in two weeks.

The Golden Eagle train passes through 10 time zones, and its route, which exceeds 9000 km, is considered the longest in the world. Most of the journey tourists spend on the train, and, despite the spaciousness and comfort of the coupe, not everyone can overcome this adventure. So before buying such a long tour, it is important to assess your physical and psychological qualities properly.

The journey begins in Moscow, then goes through  Murom, Arzamas, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, and  ends in Vladivostok, where tourists change to the plane and return home. Travel agencies can also offer programs with visits to other cities: Ryazan, Ruzaevka, Samara, etc.
